Support for the classroom and home
Talking about death and grief is never easy, but avoiding these conversations can leave children and young people feeling alone with their emotions. To support the inclusion of grief and loss in the National Curriculum this September, we have partnered with The Mulberry Bush and Hospice UK to create a comprehensive toolkit for schools and families.
Our aim is simple: to help children and young people talk openly about loss, legacy, and remembrance in a safe, caring environment, both in the classroom and at home.
Free Educational Resources
Our age-appropriate resource packs are designed to help educators feel confident leading sensitive conversations. Each pack includes:
- Lesson Plans: step-by-step guidance tailored to different age groups.
- Classroom Presentations: ready-made slides with gentle scripted support to help you lead discussions about loss, remembrance, and grief.
- Creative Activities: a wide range of projects to help students explore remembrance and express their feelings in meaningful ways.
Support for Families
We know that children and young people feel most supported when the adults around them, both at school and at home, understand what they’re going through. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated Home & Family Resource, offering parents and guardians practical tools and gentle guidance to continue these important conversations at home.

Curated Support & Recommendations
Alongside our toolkit, we’ve gathered a selection of trusted external resources to help families and educators navigate bereavement:
- Books & Podcasts: thoughtful recommendations for children, teens, and adults.
- Specialist Charities: direct links to our partners and other organisations who support young people through grief.
