Being one of the first lesbian couples to have a civil partnership, and the very first to do it at the Ritz, felt really special and worth the campaigning.
I'm proud of what we did. We were in our twenties when we got together and in our forties when she died. Going to the Ritz to celebrate will bring a realisation of what we’ve achieved as individuals, but also as a society.
She loved roses and I want to plant a rose in a pot that I can then take with me wherever I live. There will always be Paula in me.
